At EpSpot AB, we care about your privacy and strive for a high level of data protection and would never sell your personal data to another company. Legal basis for our processing of your personal data
To fulfill the purchase agreement and process your order when you purchase from any of EpSpot’s partner outlets, we collect the following data:
E-mail address
(Where applicable, we process personal data as a processor on behalf of an electricity retailer, and this is always under a contract between you and that electricity retailer, and is
- Name
- employment number or similar
- your car’s registration number
The following processing of personal data will then take place to fulfill your order:
- Delivery
- Order history
- The payment company may need more personal data, card details.
- IP address of your computer, tablet or mobile phone (facilitates troubleshooting and prevents misuse of the service)
- To make it easy for you to use the service, some information is collected automatically
- How often you log in and what features you use.
- Technical data, such as URLs and the type of browser you use
- Customer support
Performance of the user contract is the legal basis for processing personal data. The processing is necessary for the performance of a contract with the data subject in this case to supply an ordered electricity.
We would like to send you information and offers as a customer. To do this, we need to obtain your consent. This is done either in connection with your order if you actively choose to receive information in the form of newsletters from us or in another way where you explicitly give your consent to this.
In order to handle cases in our customer service, we process relevant personal data for each case in our customer service system or via e-mail. Legitimate interest is the legal basis for this processing. The processing of personal data takes place to meet your and our legitimate interest in handling your customer service case.
The maintenance and operation of the electricity systems requires us to analyze usage and related personal data. Legitimate interest is the legal basis for this processing.
How long do we keep your data?
EpSpot AB saves personal data from electricity purchases for a period of up to 8 years in accordance with the requirements of the Accounting Act. We may save the data longer if it is necessary to comply with legal requirements or for legal interests, for example if there is a legal process.
Who do we share your personal data with?
Where it is necessary for us to provide our services, we share your relevant personal data with companies that are data processors for us. A processor is a company that processes the information on our behalf and under our instructions.

When your personal data is shared with data processors, it is only done for purposes that are compatible with the purposes for which we have collected the information, i.e. to fulfill our obligations under the user agreement.
What specific rights do you have regarding your personal data?
- You can ask us at any time which of your personal data we have stored.
- You can ask us to tell you how your personal data was collected.
- You can ask us to correct or delete personal data that is incorrect.
- If you no longer want us to process your personal data, you can notify us at any time at [email protected]. We will then close your account and stop storing new data.
